International seminar “The Role of National Qualifications Framework in Higher Education Policy Reform”

An international seminar “The Role of National Qualifications Framework in Higher Education Policy Reform” took place on 19-21 April 2017 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) organised by the National Erasmus+ Office jointly with the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Kazakhstan with the support of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (ЕАСЕА) of the European Commission. The event was hosted by the Narxoz University.
European experts Barbara Kelly, Qualifications Director, Quality and Qualifications, Ireland, and Volker Gehmlich, Professor of the University of Applied Sciences, Germany took part in the seminar as well as representatives of interested organisations and universities of Kazakhstan, Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), representatives of universities and National Offices in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Objectives of the seminar: - contribute to the process of NQF development in three Central Asian countries through participation in a Technical Assistance Mission HERE seminar and discussions with national stakeholders; - promote further cooperation between three CA countries in development and implementation of NQF.
