The National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan will be conducting the Consultative Meeting with the ICM projects’ coordinators, representing Almaty Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on 29 May 2017 in Almaty. These ICM projects have been selected as the result of Call II (2016, 1 and 2 rounds). 25 HEIs of Almaty, which ICM projects were funded under Call II, take part in this initiative supported by the European Commission.

This is comparatively a new initiative of the European Union, where to the date three Calls for ICM project proposals took place – in 2015, 2016 and 2017. It has a vision that “in the long run, the combined effect of the several thousands of projects supported under this Key Action is expected to have an impact on the systems of education, training and youth in the participating countries, thus stimulating policy reforms and attracting new resources for mobility opportunities in Europe and beyond”. It provides a unique opportunity for Kazakhstani HEIs to partner with European universities and increase their capacity to operate at EU/ international level.

The Meeting Objectives:

• To discuss with ICM project coordinators the results of Call II (2016, 1 and 2 rounds).
• To familiarize the meeting participants with the preliminary data analysis for Call -2016.
• To discuss the current state with implementation of ICM projects funded under Call – 2016 and exchange experience for ensuring reliable data collection and data reporting in Almaty HEIs.
• To familiarize the participants with more information about ICM Programme for their effective participation in the forthcoming calls for proposals.
