An international seminar “The Role of National Qualifications Framework in Higher Education Policy Reform” took place on 19-21 April 2017 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) organised by the National Erasmus+ Office jointly with the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Kazakhstan with the support of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (ЕАСЕА) of the European Commission. The event was hosted by the Narxoz University.

European experts Barbara Kelly, Qualifications Director, Quality and Qualifications, Ireland, and Volker Gehmlich, Professor of the University of Applied Sciences, Germany took part in the seminar as well as representatives of interested organisations and universities of Kazakhstan, Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), representatives of universities and National Offices in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

On 5-6 April 2017, the Seminar ‘Students in focus: Students as partners in higher education governance and quality assurance’ took place in Almaty. The Seminar was hosted by Narhoz University, and attended by the HEREs from more than 30 countries of Eastern and Western Europe, the Mediterranean and Central Asia. This Seminar was conducted by the ‘Support and Promotion of Higher Education Reform Experts’ (SPHERE) consortium with the support of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA, European Comission).

Sh. Tasbulatova and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On the occasion of a major event - the 25th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence the National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme in Kazakhstan Shaizada Tasbulatova is awarded an Order 'Kurmet' for her "commitment, patriotism and professionalism" (from the speech of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev) and her significant contribution in the field of Higher Education of the country.

Erasmus+ Information Day in Kazakhstan

On October 17, 2016 the Erasmus+ Information Day in Kazakhstan has been held. It was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan jointly with the Department of Higher and Post-Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) of the Republic of Kazakhstan and supported by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

We are glad to inform about selection results of the 2 nd call of Erasmus+ program on Key action 2 Capacity building in higher education (CBHE). This year 20 higher education institutions of Kazakhstan will participate in the implementation of CBHE projects, among them 5 institutions are newcomers and will participate in projects implementation first time.
